Putting the Action in Community Action

BROC Community Action has a vision to be the foremost organization in New England working to create prosperity for all. To achieve that vision, Federal and State grants and funding is integral. However, there are limitations and stringent guidelines to who and how those funds can be used. So many families miss these guidelines, sometimes by tens of dollars. Donations such as the $23,000 from Lundgren Subaru this year help BROC Community Action help individuals and families in Bennington who fall outside of the guidelines but still need help. Gifting laundry spend cards to families in need found through the local middle school, purchasing a bed for a young child who had no bed off the floor, and securing a storage unit for belongings of three children who lost their parents and their home so they wouldn't lose everything familiar to them, are just a few bullet points of what these donated funds help accomplish. Being the Subaru Share the Love® Event recipient at Lundgren Subaru, BROC can really show real action in the Community with the money received. The love that is truly shared between this community, and Lundgren Subaru is noteworthy.
